Frequently asked questions
Each set comes with our strong hold jelly glue. If you prefer, we can also provide small bottles of nail glue. We recommend using our jelly glue as it is gentler on your natural nails while still providing a secure hold.
You can also use regular nail glue as it offers an even stronger hold and is especially suitable for longer nails. However, please note that once nail glue is used the press on nails may not be reusable.
*We have tested Kiss Nail Glue, which is super strong and easy to use, and it is available for sale in our store.
If you use jelly glue to apply your press on nails, handmade sets can usually be reused at least 4 to 5 times, and more. Machine made press on nails may be reused fewer times, as they are slightly thinner and softer compared to handmade ones.
If you use nail glue, the nails are generally not reusable. However, if you remove them carefully, clean off the white glue, and keep them in good condition, you may be able to reuse them. For best results, we recommend looking up tutorials online for safe removal and cleaning tips.
Possible causes:
Poor nail prep (oil, moisture, debris) interfering with adhesion.
Wrong size — nails too wide or small may not adhere well.
Too much or too little glue (excess spills or not enough glue to bond).
Air bubbles or gaps under the nail.
Exposure to water or harsh activities too soon after applying.
Using methods (e.g. bending nails) that stress the bond.
Avoid getting nails wet for at least one (-three) hours after applying
Using a hairdryer to gently heat your press on nails right after application, then pressing them down firmly and letting them cool, can help them stay on even stronger.
Be gentle with your hands (e.g. wear gloves for chores).
Limit long wear beyond 2 weeks: adhesives can degrade or lift over time.
Between uses, rest your natural nails to keep them healthy.
